There is not doubt that whoever gets the chance to hear or let alone see this band live will be In for a treat like no other. They played a handful of their new songs from their album Gone by the Dawn Each song transitioning to the next was flawlessly on key. Their set last night at the El Rey theater, los Angeles was amazing. Dancing would be an under statement for this kind of music your body is inclined to shake and groove to each sound. Really glad that I was able to enjoy this experience with friends who are fans. Shannon and Cody have a hermonic sound that make your ears melt off. You can feel the crowds energy and you can hear it in their voices when the sing along to their favorite tune. I would love to see them again, whenever they are in town. The raw intensity of their music leaves bruises to the soul and the heart. Thanks for a great show!īy far my favorite Shannon and the clams performance! They never disappoint their fans. I guess that shows you how much I love this band! In the future it would be great if they had more sizes available. One bummer was the merch selection, and instead of a small I went home with a 2X tee.

They still had that gritty garage rock feeling and doo-wop sensibility that we love them for. As always, their set was tight and sounded fantastic, despite several complaints from Shannon and the band to the audio booth about vocals being too quiet for her to adequately hear herself. They also played a couple new tracks from their forth-coming album which were a real treat, soft and soulful and different from their past cuts. Their set was fantastic and featured all of the songs I expected to hear from their most recent album as well as a few throwbacks from other albums that I love. I happened to catch Shannon as she was meeting a friend at the ticket booth and although I felt bad for interrupting, she was gracious and allowed me to take a picture with her.

I like Chop Suey because it's easy to get to the front if you want to get a closer view of the band. The show was obviously very different as this one was at Chop Suey, a little club on Capitol Hil in Seattle. I had a blast seeing Shannon and the Clams for the second time in the last seven months! I had previously seen them play at Sound on Sound Fest in Paige, Texas, 34 miles outside of Austin.
